About

About the Author

Eitarou Ishiguro (nickname: Eight) is an IT & AI consultant based in Japan.
With experience in IT subsidiaries of trust banks, trust banks themselves (head office and operations centers), and as a hands-on CIO of a small trading group holding company, he has long been involved in system development, infrastructure, project management, operations and audits, and business/IT strategy.

Drawing on this background, he now focuses on translating IT and AI into something that small businesses and individuals can actually use without being overwhelmed, instead of leaving them “difficult and opaque.”

Biography

After graduating from Keio University with a degree in Commerce, Eitarou Ishiguro
built his career at the intersection of finance and technology.

His experience spans:

  • Infrastructure and application development, and project management at an IT company affiliated with a trust bank
  • System planning, implementation, and vendor management in the IT and business departments of a trust bank
  • Internal audit roles at a trust bank and holding company
  • Overall operations management at a trust bank’s data center
  • Hands-on CIO for a small trading group holding company, responsible for
infrastructure, networks, business systems, and overall IT strategy

Thanks to this experience, he specializes in a style that combines structured explanations with concrete success and failure stories, rather than theory alone.
